Education and Training: Dr. Reeva Morton is a Licensed Psychologist and doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) with extensive training in School Psychology. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology in 2013 from West Virginia University (Let's Go Mountaineers!) and completed both her master’s and doctoral training through the APA-accredited School Psychology program at Mississippi State University.She completed her predoctoral internship in pediatric psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Morton has worked in hospitals, private practices, multidisciplinary clinics, schools, and integrated behavioral health settings. She also previously served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Florida, teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework within the Special Education Department. Areas of Specialty: Dr. Morton specializes in working with neurodiverse children, adolescents, and young adults, approximately 18 months through 25 years of age, while also supporting parents, caregivers, and educators. She has extensive experience working with individuals presenting with: * Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) * Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) * Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and disruptive behavior disorders * Anxiety and depressive disorders * Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) * Emotional Dysregulation * Trauma and grief-related concerns * Adjustment difficulties * Developmental delays and learning disorders * Challenging behaviors and social skill difficulties * Rare genetic disorders associated with developmental challenges * Relationship Difficulties * School Challenges * Tic Disorders and Tourette Disorder Leadership, Advocacy, and Community Involvement: Dr. Morton is passionate about helping children and families access high-quality, compassionate mental health care. She uses evidence-based and neuroaffirming approaches that focus on understanding each child’s unique strengths and needs. She believes in working as a team with families and often collaborates with other professionals involved in a child’s care, including pediatricians, speech therapists, teachers, and pediatric dentists, to provide well-rounded support across all areas of a child’s life. She remains active in the behavioral health community through consultation, advocacy, training, and community outreach efforts. Dr. Morton also serves as an active member on the Equity Task Force for PCIT International and has published several evidence-based research articles. Clinical Philosophy: Dr. Morton’s approach to care and therapy combines evidence-based cognitive behavioral strategies with a compassionate, collaborative, neuroaffirming perspective and individualized style. She values kindness, professionalism, respect, and clear communication while taking a whole-person approach that considers each child’s medical, emotional, social, behavioral, and cognitive needs. She offers free 15 minute consultations, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, education, recommendations, and ongoing individual and family support tailored to the unique strengths and needs of each child and family. Through a supportive, collaborative relationship, Dr. Morton can help children and families move toward meaningful, lasting growth.
